What we are seeking:

STV currently has an opening in Charlotte office for a Sr. Project Manager for our Transportation & Infrastructure division. You will serve as Project Manager and collaborate with a team of engineers to perform geometric roadway design, prepare drawings, calculations, quantities, and specifications for transportation projects. All while providing technical expertise and mentoring junior staff.

There is plenty of growth potential for this position, and there is a variety of projects to work on including, highway and interchange design, Bridge projects, roadway widenings, intersection improvements including innovative intersections, and bicycle/pedestrian improvements. This position requires collaboration with other disciplines including planning, environmental, drainage, and structures. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing project management and professional design services for transportation highway and other projects for the NCDOT, Counties, Municipalities, and other transportation agencies
  • Manage scope, schedule & budget
  • Developing design plans including horizontal and vertical alignment, and cross sections, construction staging, traffic control plans, signing and pavement marking plans
  • Coordinating with the design team and other disciplines to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget
  • Assisting with the development of specifications, cost estimates, reports and preparing final bid packages
  • Establishing working relationships and interfacing with client technical staff and project managers
  • Assisting with the preparation of technical and cost proposals

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering is required
  • PE Required
  • Minimum of 15 years of roadway and drainage design experience required
  • Proficiency with MicroStation, Geopak and Microsoft Office Suite, Familiarity with Open Roads Designer
  • Familiarity with NCDOT a plus

Compensation Range:

$139,767.00 - $186,356.00
