Job Description

Join the world's largest HVAC company as a Warehouse Team Lead in our brand-new distribution center in Reno, Nevada!

Summary: Leads the activities of workers engaged in shipping and receiving of materials, parts and products by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Communicates internally and externally to coordinate shipments within facilities.
  • Assures safety and product quality while improving production procedures.
  • Trains other employees in day-to-day procedures.
  • Monitors production activities to eliminate delays and ensure adherence to production and shipping schedules.
  • Plans and assists with inventory control and cycle counting.
  • Monitors and ensures picking accuracy.
  • Coordinates workflow with the various departments and incoming materials.
  • Reports damaged and defective goods to leadership and effectively assist when needed.
  • Maintains quality/quantity standards regarding output.
  • Analyzes work orders, create plans to estimate worker hours and job tasks.
  • Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
  • Skilled in operating powered industrial trucks.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve warehouse methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Consistently and effectively communicates with supervision and management.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Maintains time and inventory records.

Qualification:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 3 years warehousing or inventory control experience preferred.
  • Experience with computer software required. Oracle and Excel preferred.
  • Previous lead experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
