Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Nursing has been the leader in nursing education in North Carolina throughout its history. Established in 1950, it was the first school of nursing in North Carolina to offer a four-year baccalaureate nursing degree program followed by the first master's degree program, the first continuing education program for nurses, first doctoral program, and first accelerated BSN option to students with college degrees. Position Summary
THIS IS A TIME-LIMITED POSITION WITH AN ESTIMATED DURATION OF ONE YEAR.

The School of Nursing at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a Project Manager to actively manage the daily operations of the Hillman Scholars in Nursing Innovation program funded by the Rita and Alex Hillman Foundation. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, and overseeing the program for students enrolled and faculty mentors. This position will require substantial capacity to coordinate and be responsible for multiple concurrent administrative tasks. Excellent communication skills are required to support the program and to maintain positive relationships with students, faculty and professional stakeholders. This position requires demonstrated success in project management, coordinating multi-faceted program efforts, and organizing and maintaining program timelines. This position will also collaborate on research projects, as needed.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
* Well-developed project management, data management, and reporting skills to manage multiple projects.
* Proficiency in Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Access, and Qualtrics.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and experience working on projects that require collaboration
* Excellent attention to detail and highly organized work skills
* Ability to plan and complete work independently, but can seek advice/guidence when project issues arise
* Strong writing and presentation skills
