JOB SUMMARY:

The CMC Coordinator will handle all activities relating to outbound shipping and management of received shipments for the CMC department, S/He is responsible for maintaining records of materials shipped from and received by BioCryst from all external vendors, as well as keeping inventory records for drug substance and drug product at the Birmingham site. This is a part time position and is required to be on site.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Coordinate with CMC personnel and 3rd party courier companies to prepare outbound shipments.

* Maintain documentation of all shipments in and out of BioCryst CMC group as well as keeping a current inventory of materials received.

* Ensure compliance with internal shipping protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

* Issue routing/tracking information to CMC personnel upon availability.

* Coordinate with BioCryst Logistics personnel to prepare necessary shipping and customs documents for international shipments from BioCryst to 3rd party vendors.

* Assist in troubleshooting shipping delays or changes in planned shipments.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degree or currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with at least one year experience in an administrative role or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Experience in domestic and international shipments preferred.

* International Air Transport Association (IATA) and DOT hazardous materials training a plus.

* Ability to operate within the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, etc.).
